The diet
Oral health also depends on proper nutrition. In particular, the intake of simple sugars (candies, chocolates, sweets …) must be reduced, because they are transformed by bacteria into acids that dissolve tooth enamel.
Instead, foods rich in fibers and vitamins that strengthen the teeth should be preferred.
It is advisable to reduce the intake of food when not during the main meals, and in any case to brush the teeth after eating.
