The lower teeth protrusion
This type of malocclusion is also called “Class III malocclusion”. The maxilla develops by a small quantity compared to the mandible.
The causes are often hereditary. The treatment involves the use of orthopedic appliances designed to stimulate the growth of the upper jaw.
This type of malocclusion should be monitored up to the age of 18-20 years, because the jaw in these patients tends to grow for a longer period of time, leading to possible relapses of the malocclusion.
